Industrial property update January 2018

Welcome to 2018. Rasmussen Industrial Properties has hit the ground running with a few leases already concluded. A couple of auction mandates with in2assets have also been secured. There is certainly a buzz in the air and with the latest government shake up I am confident that we can look forward to a very successful 2018. Business confidence is all about security and positiveness and in this regard I am sure that the countries decision makers realize the urgency and it is not too late to put South Africa back on track. With regards to industrial property, Durban South, Pinetown, Cato Ridge corridor and developments to the North are all still showing positive growth. We have also noticed a spike in enquiries and a definite shortage of industrial warehousing for sale. This all bodes well for the future as it should encourage developers to continue new industrial park developments. Redefine's new industrial park development in Cornubia, which was built on spec and was completed in 2017. Many people thought it was a bit ambitious but we are led to believe that this is now fully occupied. Ithala did an industrial development in Mount Edgecombe which is now completed and rapidly filling up. We at Rasmussen Industrial Properties pride ourselves in our professionalism and expertise in the industrial field and we look forward to being of assistance to you.
