265 Sydney Road - Fully Let
In November 2016, I wrote about the opportunity presented by JT Ross's redevelopment of the old Dunlop Tyres factory at 265 Sydney Rd - my article was titled Quality Warehousing near Durban's Port.
As predicted, those companies with enough foresight, did take advantage of the situation, jumping at the opportunity to secure quality warehousing a mere 2.8 km from Maydon Wharf.
Anybody that knows the warehouse market in Durban's South, will understand the constraints placed on Logistics Operators: Proximity to the Port of Durban, congested roads, theft and break-ins, vandalism, shortage of warehouse space, lack of yard space, etc.
Operators that know Durban's unique challenges were first to perceive the solution that 265 Sydney Rd would provide to many of these problems. Heneways Freight Services, Monteagle Logistics, Freight24 and Premier Logistics, among others, will be glad they made that move, especially now that every warehouse in the 100,000 square meter Logistics Park is fully let.
